Yale Swing, Blues, and Fusion is the non-competitive swing and blues dancing community on campus. We provide a space for people to get together and dance in a fun, informal setting.

Our regular events include monthly swing dances, weekly swing, blues, and fusion practica on Sundays, weekly fusion practica on Tuesdays, and trips to local dancing events. We offer Lindy Hop and Blues lessons every semester, for a nominal fee, and invite guest instructors for dance workshops at various points throughout the year.

Our events are open to everyone – undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff, and members of the broader New Haven community.

Register for ECX with Early Bird prices if you have a group of 5 or more!

Hey all!

After a great weekend of fusion lessons and dancing, we’re looking ahead to this year’s Elm City Exchange, which is only three weeks away (November 3-5)! We’ve got four musical acts—French 75, The Fried Bananas, Ellison Jackson, and a Josh Fialkoff solo—over a weekend made for dance heaven. Register on the website, and if you’re coming with more than five people contact us and we’ll get you early bird prices for your tickets! If you won’t be here the whole weekend, no worries—you can always get into dances with à la carte pricing. Dance with you there!

In the meantime, come to our practicum on Sundays from 7:30-10:30PM and Tuesday Fuseday (Tuesdays 9-11PM) to keep your moves going all week! As always, check our Facebook page for the most up to date info (no account needed!)!
